11 High School Marching Bands To Compete In North Coast OMEA Competition

Perkins Marching Band

Marching bands from 11 high schools across Ohio, including Perkins High School, will participate in the 38th Annual North Coast Ohio Music Education Association marching band competition on Saturday, Oct. 5, in Firelands Regional Medical Center Stadium. 


The competition starts at 5 p.m. with the Wellington High School Dukes Marching Band and concludes with the Perkins Marching Band, directed by Chris Zanella, at 8 p.m.

Awards will be given after the program. 


Admission for the competition is $8 for adults and $5 for students. Concessions will be available in the stadium.

5 p.m. – Wellington High School Dukes Marching Band performing “Swingin' Stars and Stripes”

5:15 p.m. – Liberty Benton High School Marching Band performing "Vengeance Within"

5:30 p.m. –  Newton High School performing "Bright Ideas"

5:45 p.m. – Coventry High School Marching Band performing "PATHOS"

6 p.m. – Tallmadge Blue Devil Marching Band performing "Blue Steel"

6:15 p.m. – Cloverleaf Colts Marching Band performing One Small Step...

6:30 p.m. – Break

6:45 p.m. – Mentor High School Fighting Cardinal Marching Band performing "Uninvited"

7 p.m. – North Royalton High School Marching Band performing "Left Brain - Right Brain"

7:15 p.m. – Medina Musical Bees performing "A Night In Havana"

7:30 p.m. – Kings High School Marching Band performing "The Rise and Fall of Atlantis"

7:45 p.m. – Break

8 p.m. – Perkins High School Marching Band performing "Under the Black Flag"
